Reva F Perry

Obituary: Reva L. Perry, 80, passed away Tuesday evening, February 27, 2018, at Tucker Hospice House. Born September 21, 1937 in Jefferson County, TN, she was the daughter of the late John Mack and Lola Bell Ledwell Finchum. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Ben Carson Perry. Reva was a 1955 graduate of Chilhowee Baptist Academy. She retired after 18 years of service from Piedmont Residential Development Center, where she was dietary manager. Reva enjoyed gardening, crafts, cooking, singing and playing the piano. A loving mother and grandmother, she will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved her. Family members include her 2 daughters, Sandra McIntosh Crites (Charles) and Debbie Perry; and her grandchildren, Crystal Lee Mefford, Jason Chance Perry and Noah Alexander McCorkle. The family will receive friends Friday, March 2nd from 6:00-8:00 pm at Whitley's Funeral Home. Funeral services to remember and celebrate the life of Mrs. Perry will begin at 2:00 pm Saturday, March 3rd at Royal Oaks Baptist Church (904 Texas Street, Kannapolis, NC), conducted by Tim Yates, Pastor. Mrs. Perry will be laid to rest beside her husband in Carolina Memorial Park Cemetery.
