Obituary: Kannapolis, NC- Rhonda Starnes Bradshaw, age 58, of 1802 Jennie Linn Street, died Thursday, April 9, 2009 at the Bob & Carolyn Tucker Hospice House, Kannapolis, NC after battling cancer for 14 months. She was born August 13, 1950 in Iredell County, NC, the daughter of the late Jasper Starnes and Margaret Katherine Morrow Starnes. She was a graduate of A.L. Brown High School. She was employed with Philip Morris USA, Concord, NC for 13 years until her retirement. She had lived in the Kannapolis area for most of her life. She was thought of by her family as a loving, caring mother, sister, & friend. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Curtis C. Bradshaw who died April 25, 1990. The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Monday, April 13, 2009 at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel, Kannapolis, NC officiated by Rev. Larry Barden. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis, NC. The family will receive friends from 6:00 to 8:00 P.M. Saturday, April 11, 2009 at the funeral home. Survivors include her daughter, Christina Elizabeth Bradshaw of Kannapolis, NC; one sister, Mildred S. Winecoff of Wilmington, NC; three brothers, Don W. Starnes of Kannapolis, NC, Darryl K. Starnes of Salisbury, NC, and Jasper Boyd Lee Starnes, Jr. of Concord, NC. Memorials may be made to Hospice & Palliative Care of Cabarrus County, 5003 Hospice Lane, Kannapolis, NC 28081.
