Richard Lee Bost

Obituary: Richard Lee "Magoo" Bost, 57, of Kannapolis went to be with the Lord on Monday April 25, 2016 at his residence following a battle with cancer. He was born January 12, 1959 in Cabarrus County, NC a son of the late Clyde Caldwell and Amylee Bonnie Wiles Bost. He was also preceded in death by two sisters, Linda and Shirley Bost. Richard was a short haul truck driver for Overcash Trucking for 17 years and for the City of Kannapolis for 15 years. He was an avid NASCAR and dragstrip racing fan. He enjoyed hunting and fishing. Survivors include one son, Dennis Lee Bost of the Home, one daughter, Samantha Lefler and husband Ronnie of Kannapolis, five brothers Ray, Rick, Wayne, Leroy and Mike Bost, all of Kannapolis and two sisters, Janet and Mary Bost of Kannapolis. A Memorial Service to celebrate his life will be held 1:00 P.M. Saturday, April 30, 2016 at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel conducted by Pastors Mitch and Doug Thomas. Interment of cremains will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the funeral home one hour prior to the service.
