Richard Doyle Thomas

Obituary: Richard Doyle "Little Richard" Thomas, 53, passed away Saturday, December 6, 2014 at his residence. Mr. Thomas was born October 7, 1961 in Cabarrus County; was a lifelong resident of the area, and he worked many years at Cannon Mills. Survivors include his parents, Herbert Doyle Thomas and Otha Lee Rushing Thomas of Kannapolis, NC; a sister, Diane Ludwick (Scott) of Kannapolis; a niece, Sherri Jackson (Richard) of Kannapolis; a nephew, Eric Needham (Kim) of Kannapolis, NC; three great nephews; and two great nieces. A funeral service will be held 11:30 a.m. Wednesday, December 10, 2014 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel. The family will receive friends from 10:00-11:15 a.m. prior to the service.
