Obituary: Mr. Robert "Bobby" Earl Baker, Jr.,50, of Kannapolis died Thursday, June 24, 2010 at his residence. Death was unexpected. He was born November 24, 1959 in Iredell County, the son of Sylvia Janet Allman Baker of Kannapolis and the late Robert Earl "Bob" Baker, Sr. Bobby was a member of First Baptist Church of Enochville where he was a former choir member. He was Assistant manager of the frozen foods and dairy at Harris-Teeter. He was previously employed at Winn-Dixie for 29 years as the manager of frozen foods. He loved NASCAR and Elvis. Funeral services will be 1:00 P.M. Sunday, June 27, 2010 at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel conducted by Rev. Billy Pore. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at Whitley's Funeral Home from 12:30 P.M. until 1:00 P.M. He is survived by his mother: Sylvia Janet Allman Baker of the Home, his longtime girlfriend, June Joyner of Nashville, NC. He is also survived by numerous cousins.
