Robert "Robbie" Allen Biles

Obituary: Robert "Robbie" Allen Biles, age 48, of Kannapolis, died Saturday August 17 at Novant Health Rowan Medical Center after an extended period of declining health. Robbie was born October 29, 1964 in Cabarrus County the son of Myrtle Biles Compton and the late Wayne Dois Biles. Robbie was a lifelong resident of Kannapolis and member of Memorial Baptist Church where he sang in the choir and was active in the prayer ministry. Robbie was an avid sportsman. He loved to hunt and fish. He also enjoyed cooking, drawing, painting, and sculpting. He was a father figure not only to his children, but to others who needed him. He was a loving son, father, brother, uncle and friend. Robbie will be deeply missed by all who were blest to know him. Those left to cherish his memory include a son; Matt Biles of the home, daughter; Elizabeth Biles of Landis, mother; Myrtle Compton, stepfather; Bob Compton, brother; Johnny Biles of Gastonia and his wife Lucy; two sisters; Kathy Dees and her husband Daryl and Susan Baker all of Kannapolis. There are several nieces and nephews, also great-nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held at 2:00pm on Tuesday August 20 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Tim McQueen officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:00pm to 2:00pm on Tuesday. At all other times the family will be at the residence.
