Obituary: Robert Charles "Bob" Bogutsky, 65, of Kannapolis died Sunday, April 21, 2013 at his home, after a lengthy illness, with his family by his side. A Memorial service to celebrate his life will be held at 2:00 PM Thursday, April 25 at Kimball Memorial Lutheran Church with Rev. Dr. Richard Graf, Hospice Chaplain Ric Durham and Rev. Danny Wilson officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. The family will receive friends at the church from 12:30 to 2:00 PM on Thursday prior to the Memorial service. Bob was born May 22, 1947 in Scranton PA, the son of the late Leo Paul and Norbertha Borkowski Bogutsky. He was a graduate of Scranton Tech High School, Penn State and State University of NY. Bob transferred to Charlotte with IBM in 1977 and retired in 1997 after serving as a representative for International Marketing and Sales. He was a member of Kimball Memorial Lutheran Church in Kannapolis and a former member of Advent Lutheran Church in Charlotte. Bob enjoyed reading, science fiction, traveling and refurbishing IBM Laptops and will always be remembered as a very generous person. He will be greatly missed by those left to cherish his memory including his wife Frankie Triece Bogutsky of the home, his daughters: Colleen Bogutsky Fraser (David) of St. Petersburg FL and Wendy Baucom Ferguson (John) of Sherrills Ford, NC and his sons: Jeffrey Bogutsky of the home (girlfriend Tori Nunn) and Christopher Baucom (Claudia) of Charlotte. His grandchildren are Patrick, Dylan and Heather Weber, Alex Fraser, Abby and Kate Ferguson, Savannah and Ella Baucom, and was looking forward to the birth of a new granddaughter in June.
