Robert Busteed, Sr

Obituary: Robert Emmet Busteed, Sr., 80, of Kannapolis went to be with the Lord on Sunday, July 1, 2018 at Transitional Health Care of Kannapolis following a period of declining health. Robert was born May 5, 1938 in Staten Island, NY, a son of the late Thomas Addis Emmet Busteed, III, and the late Marie Rose Schiel Busteed. Robert served with the US Coast Guard. He was a C.P.A. employed with UNCC-Charlotte until his retirement. He was a member of Kimball Lutheran Church. Family members left to cherish his memory are two sons; Robert E. Busteed, Jr. and wife Melissa of Norfolk, Va., and Peter Glenn Busteed and wife Cara of Kannapolis. He is also survived by two grandchildren; Caitlyn and Brycen, and one sister Merrilyn Paradiso of Staten Island, NY. The family will meet and receive friends at Whitley's Funeral Home Tuesday, July 3, 2018 from 5:00 P.M.-7:00 P.M. Burial will follow at a later date in Moravian Cemetery, Staten Island, NY.
