Obituary: Robert Clark, age 68, of Kannapolis died December 17, 2016 at his son's home. Funeral services will be held at 12:00 PM Tuesday December 20 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Walt Lyme officiating. His family will receive friends from 7:00 to 9:00 PM Monday, December 19 at the funeral home. Robert was born August 8, 1948 in Stanly Co., a son of the late Robert W. and Junior Belle Horne Clark. Robert worked for Cannon Mills Plant #1 for 45 years. He enjoyed going to Mt. Zion Baptist Church and being a part of the church. He also enjoyed fishing and classic antique cars. Robert loved his grandkids. He was preceded in death by his brother, Benny Clark. Survivors include his wife, Nancy Sue Clark, his son, Robert Smith (Angela) of Concord, his daughter, Lisa Spencer (Nathan ) of Lexington, 5 grandchildren, 2 great-grandchildren 3 brothers; Larry, Billie and Willie, 3 sisters; Paulette, Susan and Annette.
