Obituary: Robert Page Clowser, 75, of Mooresville died Wednesday, February 16, 2011. Funeral services will be 2:00 P.M. Saturday, February 19, 2011 at Gospel Lighthouse Baptist Church conducted by Rev. Joel Ervin. The family will receive friends from 1:00-2:00 P.M. at the church prior to the service. Graveside services will be held 1:00 P.M. Sunday, February 20, 2011 at Oak Grove Cemetery in Hillsboro. West Virginia. Mr. Clowser was born April 7, 1935 in Pocahontas County, West Virginia, son of the late Glibert Lee and Bessie Floyd Clowser. He was a truck driver for many years, and a member of the Teamster's Union. He was of the Baptist faith. Mr. Clowser was a veteran of the Korean Conflict serving with the US Army. Survivors include his wife of 33 years: Joann Clowser of the home, a daughter, Carol Possidente of Baltimore, Md, Brother, James Clowser and Sister, Mable Arbin both of West Virginia. He is also survived by several step children , nieces and nephews and grandchildren. The family requests that memorials be made to Gospel Lighthouse Baptist Church, 453 Concordia Church Road, China Grove, NC 28023. Whitley's Funeral Home is serving the family of Mr. Clowser.
