Robert "Scott" Daniels

Robert Scott Daniels, 66, of Kannapolis, passed away Monday, January 13, 2025, at Atrium Health Cabarrus. He was born March 23, 1958, to the late Robert H. and Dorothy Jean Mason Daniels in Cabarrus County, NC.

Scott graduated from A.L. Brown High School in 1976. He then served his country in United States Army and the US Army Reserves.

Scott worked as a screen-print supervisor with over 30 years of experience in the screen-printing industry. Later on, he worked for Tubelite as an outside sales rep.

Scott was a founding member of the DEI road crew: Goodwrench, AC Delco, Budweiser and NAPA teams. And went to victory lane 42 times in total.

Scott was an avid fisher and runner, participating in various 5K’s in Kannapolis, and also loved and participated in racquetball tournaments.

Those left to cherish his memory include his wife of 23 years, Laurie Abernethy Daniels; daughter Haley Daniels, his son, Marcus Daniels, his daughter, Carly Daniels (Jack); grandchildren, Alyssa (Dylan), Jack Jr., Cali and one great grandchild, Carter; his sisters, Susan Blankenbeckler and Sally Wally (Joel); his brother Stephen Daniels (Kelly); nieces, nephews, extended family and many friends.

Scott’s family will receive friends and relatives for a time of visitation from 3:00 to 5:00 PM on Saturday, January 18, 2025, at Whitley’s Funeral Home.
