Robert Eldreth

Robert Lee "Bob" Eldreth, 71, of China Grove, passed into the loving arms of the Lord Friday, January 28, 2022, surrounded by his loving family. Born February 28, 1950 in Chester, PA, he was the son of the late Denver and Arlena VanDyke Eldreth.
Bob was a man of faith, and attended Piedmont Baptist Church. He loved going with his family to the mountains and beach. He used to love to hunt and fish. Bob really enjoyed watching sports on T.V. and he enjoyed attending church services and would watch on the internet when he was unable to attend.
Bob is survived by his loving wife Ruth Wingler Eldreth; a son, Robert "Robbie" Eldreth, Jr, of Woodleaf, NC; a daughter, Wendy Eldreth, of China Grove; a grandson, TJ Shankle of China Grove; two sisters, Linda Louise Cooper and husband Ronnie and Teresa Ann Eldreth; and a brother in-law, Edwin Stewart. Aside from his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Norma Jean Stewart.
A funeral service to celebrate Bob's life will be held 1:00pm Wednesday, February 2, 2022 at Whitley's Funeral Home, Kannapolis. Pastor Mike Edwards will officiate. Interment will follow in West Lawn Memorial Park. The family will receive friends from 12:00pm until 1:00pm Wednesday, prior to the service at Whitley's.
