Robert Ervin Faust

Robert “Bob” Ervin Faust Jr., 80, died Sunday, October 20, 2024, at the Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis just over two weeks after his beloved wife Shirley Miles Faust passed away.

A funeral service is scheduled for Wednesday, October 23rd at 2:00pm at Whitley’s Funeral Service Chapel in Kannapolis. Family visitation is at 1:30pm.

Bob was born February 14, 1944 in Cabarrus County. He was the son of Edith Floda McClamrock Faust and Robert Ervin Faust Sr. He graduated from A.L. Brown High School and served in the U.S. Air Force. He worked for Fiber Industries, later Hoechst Celanese, in Charlotte as an Instrument Electronics Mechanic.

He was a lifelong member of First Presbyterian Church in Kannapolis, where he sang in the choir. He was a member of Gideon’s International and was a Mason.

In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Judith Eleanor Faust Goodnight. He is survived by nephew Tod Goodnight of Kannapolis, nephew Thad Goodnight and wife Nancy of Salisbury, nephew Dana Goodnight and wife Carol of Hillsborough, and niece Starla Goodnight of Charlotte, and numerous cousins, great-nieces and great-nephews.
