Obituary: Kannapolis, NC Robert L. Hurst, 59, of Kannapolis passed away Saturday, Feb. 19, 2011 at his home. He was born October 20, 1951 in Cabarrus County, the son of the late John Langley Hurst and Iris Odean Knowles Hurst. He retired from Fieldcrest-Cannon Inc. where he worked in the weave room. He then worked for Moss Realty in maintenance at the Williamsburg Townhomes. He was an avid Nascar fan and loved the Rolling Stones. Funeral services will be 5:00 PM Friday, Feb. 25, 2011 at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Rev. Mike Hubbard. The family will receive friends from 3 to 5 prior to the service. He is survived by a daughter, Christina Dawn Hurst, a grand- daughter Kaylee Sambrowski, a great aunt Elise Davis, and many other friends and family.
