Obituary: Concord, NC- Robert Lester Jones, age 77, died Sunday, September 4, 2011 at CMC-NorthEast, Concord, NC after a period of declining health.He was born December 1, 1933 in Yalobusha County, MS, the son of the late Rice Lomax Jones and Irene Walton Jones. He had lived in the Memphis, Tennessee area; Columbus, Ohio; and moved to Concord, North Carolina where he had lived for the past eight years.Robert was a truck driver for 45 years having worked for Schneider Trucking and Ozark Trucking. He was a member of New Beginnings Moravian Church, Huntersville, NC. He was also a veteran of the U.S. Air Force having served during the Korean Conflict.The memorial service will be held 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, September 7, 2011 at New Beginnings Moravian Church, 201 Seagle Street, Huntersville, NC officiated by Rev. Chris Thore. Survivors include his wife of twenty-eight years, Rebecca Gore Jones; his son, Randall Lee Jones & wife, Roxanne of Tallapoosa, GA; his daughter, Angela Renee Newman & husband, Kenneth of Stockbridge, GA; two-step-sons, Kelly Allred & wife, Angela and David Allred & wife, Charlotte, both of Concord, NC; grandchildren, Corey and Taylor Jones, Hunter Newman, Logan, Nicholas, and Alexander Allred.Memorials may be made to New Beginnings Moravian Church, P.O.
