Robert Lee Jack Hager

Obituary: Robert Lee Hager (Jack), age 85, died Friday, July 9, 2010 at Transitional Health Services, Kannapolis, NC He was born February 15, 1925 in Cabarrus County, NC, the son of the late William Hager and Pearl Hager. He was employed with Merita Bakery, Charlotte, NC as a delivery man for many years until his retirement. Jack was also a veteran of the U.S. Navy having served during World War II. He held his church membership at Second Presbyterian Church, Kannapolis, NC. His family fondly remembers his love of fishing & going to the beach as a special part of his life. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his wife, Betty McInnis Hager, who died May 30, 2005; and a son, Robert L. Hager, Jr. The funeral service will be 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, July 13, 2010 at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel, Kannapolis, NC officiated by Rev. Lou Pfeiffer. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis, NC. The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m. prior to the service at the funeral home. Survivors include one son, Rick Hager of Kannapolis, NC; a daughter, Pam Watford & husband, Louis of Supply, NC; one grandson, Brandon Watford of Concord, NC; two sisters, Christine Scott of Concord, NC and Juanita McCreary of Kannapolis, NC; and a number of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
