Robert Wayne McGuire, 74 of Mooresville, passed away after a tragic accident on Friday, October 14, 2022.
He was born on September 3, 1948 in Cabarrus County, NC to the late Robert R. McGuire and Ruby Stancil McGuire. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Patricia McGuire.
Robert honorably served his country as a Communications Technician in the United States Navy. He served in Guam during the Vietnam War. He graduated with a degree in electrical engineering from NC State University and went on to receive his Masters of Business from Queens University. He was contracted with Procom Services America for UNC- Chapel Hill. In his free time, he enjoyed taking trips with his brother and friends to Vegas. He also loved spending time riding in his boat on Lake Norman. Above all, he dearly loved his family and always put family first.
Those left to cherish his memory include three daughters, Brooke (Stanley) Saba, Crystal (Jeff) Nicholson, and Cinnamon (Scott) Little; six grandchildren Hannah Little, Kelsey Little, Saylor Nicholson, Gage Nicholson, Levi Saba, and Sadie Saba; sister, Vicki (Pete) Dame; brothers, Richard (Teresa) McGuire and Danny (Amy) McGuire, and mother of his children, Diann McGuire.
The family will receive friends from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, October 25, 2022 at Whitley’s Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 26, 2022 at Whitley’s Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Dennis Craft officiating. A graveside service will follow and begin at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 26th at Salisbury National Cemetery, located at 501 Statesville Blvd in Salisbury, with full Military Honors presented by the Rowan County Veterans Honor Guard.
