Robert Williams

Obituary: Robert Edward Williams, 73, of Kannapolis, NC passed away on Monday, Dec. 10th at Carolinas Health Care NorthEast in Concord, NC. Robert was born on September 18, 1945 in Bertie Co., NC a son of the late Willie Edward Bobby Williams and the late Ella Mae Todd Williams. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife Joyce Dunlap Williams who died in 2012 and a brother, Willie Williams. Robert was a member of the Concord Seventh-day Adventist Church. He was employed as a drywall mechanic and most recently as an electrician. Robert is survived by his son; Christopher E. Williams, a daughter, Margaret Yvonne Williams Blair, three grandchildren; Joshua Scruggs, Amy Scruggs and Matthew Lowder, a number of great-grandchildren, , two step daughters; Pamela Hampton and Julie Mattern, two sisters; Teresa Ballance and Janice Hurdle and a brother, Jimmy Ray Williams. Also, by a special friend, Sheila Poole. A memorial service for Mr. Williams will take place at a later date to be announced in the Ind. /Tribune.
