Robin Suzanne (Burleyson) Stokes

Robin Burleyson Stokes, 65, of Kannapolis, passed away Tuesday morning September 26, 2023, at her home.

Born April 25, 1958, in Rowan County, she was a daughter of the late Robert Moncure Burleyson and Nancy Caroline Fesperman Burleyson.  In addition to her parents, she was preceded by a beloved, special grandmother, Myrtle Fesperman.

Robin lived a simple life. She enjoyed crafts, was an excellent cook and loved all of her family.  Gone too soon, Robin will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew and loved her.

Family members left with cherished memories include her husband, William “Speedy” Stokes; her children, Matt Burleyson, Andrew Livengood and Payton Stokes; brothers, Robert G. Burleyson (Linda), Terry Burleyson (Leigh Ann), Phil Burleyson (Robyn) and Jan Harwood (Jeff); 4 grandchildren, 1 great grandchild, nieces, nephews and extended family members.

The family will receive friends Saturday, September 30th from 11:00-12:00 pm at Whitley’s Funeral Home.  Funeral services will begin at 12:00 noon in the funeral home chapel, conducted by the Reverend Dr. Keith Copeland. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park, where Robin will be laid to rest.
