Roderick Henri Miles

Obituary: Roderick Henri Miles, 71, of Concord went to be with the Lord on Monday, March 21, 2016 at his residence following a period of declining health. He was born January 2, 1945 in Cook County, Ill. the son of the late David Miles, Jr. and Emma Louise Warner Miles. Roderick retired April 30, 1986 following a 20 year career in the US Navy. He was a disabled Vietnam veteran. Roderick served as a submariner radioman. After retirement he enjoyed electronics, including shortwave and CB radio. Survivors left to cherish his memory include his sister , Rev. Annise M. Johnson, of the home, two nieces, one great niece and two great nephews, all of Georgia. Committal services will be 2:00 P.M. Tuesday, March 29, 2016 at Salisbury National Cemetery, 501 Statesvillle Blvd., Salisbury, NC 28144. Military honors will be performed by the US Navy and Rowan County Veteran's Council.
