Obituary: Kannapolis, NC - Roger Clayton Bowlin, age 71, of Kannapolis died April 2, 2009 at Universal Health Care Concord after a period of declining health. There will be a Graveside service at 12:00 PM on Monday, April 6 at the Salisbury National Cemetery with Military Burial rites provided by Rowan Veteran's Council Honor Guard. The family will receive friends at Whitley's Funeral Home from 10:00 to 11:00 AM on Monday. Roger was born in N. Wilkesboro, son of the late Jonah Elijah Bowlin and the late Bessy Mae Wingler Bowlin. He was a veteran of the US Navy. He was preceded in death by his wife Sherry Moffitt Bowlin and is survived by his daughter, Sarah Lowery and husband, Chris of Kannapolis. He is also survived by his brothers Otis, Max and Montgomery Bowlin. In lieu of flowers memorial may be sent to Hospice and Palliative Care of Cabarrus Co. 5003 Hospice Ln. Kannapolis, NC 28081
