Obituary: Roger Alan Grimm, 64 of Concord, passed away unexpectedly at his residence on Monday, September 30, 2013. Mr. Grimm was born on January 20, 1949 in Mahoning County, Ohio a son of the late Robert Ray and Ruth Ann Griesser Grimm. Roger was a member of Fisher Street Baptist Church where he attended the mens bible study group. He enjoyed playing golf and reading books. He had previously written two books. Roger was a machinest and most recently was an inspector at Roush-Yates racing. He enjoyed his family and will be sadly missed by family and friends. A memorial service to celebrate Rogers life will be held at 6:00 PM on Friday, October 4, 2013 at Fisher Street Baptist Church with Pastor Joey Spry officiating. The family will receive friends at the church from 5:00 to 6:00 on Friday prior to the services. Whitley's Funeral Home is assisting the Grimm family. Mr. Grimm is survived by his wife; Brenda Joyce Grimm of the home, a daughter; Kimberly Stafford of Forest City, 3 sons: Jason and Casey Grimm both of Concord, and Chad Grimm and wife Whitney of Mt. Pleasant, 5 grandchildren; Blake Fisher and wife Tanya, Stacy Fisher, Scott Stafford, Cole and Weston Grimm, and a great grandson; Jackson Fisher, a brother; Robert Grimm of AZ., 3 sisters; Phyllis Webster of W.VA., Leila Pippen of TX., and Judy Lowe of OH. The family suggest memorials be made to Fisher Street Baptist Church, 810 Fisher St. Concord, NC., 28027. Online condolences may be left at www.whitleysfuneralhome.com
