Ron J. Wells

Ronnie “Ron” Wells, 77, of Concord, went to be with the Lord on Sunday, January 17, 2021.

Ron was born on May 23, 1943 in LaFollette, TN to the late Grant Wells and Lena Parker Wells.

Ron retired as a production manager for Anheuser Busch after 30 years. In his free time, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and playing golf. He loved taking trips to the beach with his family. He was a faithful member of Forest Hill United Methodist Church in Concord. Ron also loved football and was a LaFollette, TN high school football star.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, John P. Bunch; and two sisters, Helen Wells and Margaret Wallace.

Those left to cherish his memory include his beloved wife of 28 years, Joan McDaniel Wells, two daughters, Kelly Wells and Lisa (Eric) Fortin; son, Jason D. (Amy) Wells; four grandchildren, Logan Wells, Peyton Wells, Michael (Sophie) Fortin, and Bret (Chekaira) Fortin; brother, Jerry (Anita) Wells, sister, Mary (Joseph) Wier, and numerous nieces and nephews.

The funeral service will be held at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, January 20, 2021 at Whitley’s Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Mandy Jones officiating. The family will receive friends prior to the service at the funeral home, from 10:30 a.m. to 12:00. Burial will immediately follow the service at Carolina Memorial Park.
