Ronald Abernathy

Obituary: Mr. Ronald "Ronnie" Lee Abernathy 71, of Salisbury went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Thursday June 21, 2018 after an extended illness. He was born June 10, 1947 in Cabarrus County to Paul and Nancy Moses Abernathy. Ronnie had worked as a sales representative in insurance and also in retail sales. He enjoyed meeting and talking with people and most of all enjoyed being with his family and spending time with his grandchildren. Ronnie loved being a youth football coach and enjoyed all sports. When time permitted he like to get away and have some quite time fishing. He was an accomplished musician, and love to spend time listening to music. Ronnie was preceded in death by his parents. Survivors include his son Ronnie Abernathy Jr. of Kannapolis and a daughter Stacie Abernathy of Salisbury. His brother Winford Ray Abernathy of Kannapolis. His grandchildren Brittany Abernathy, Hannah Abernathy, Cyrus Abernathy, Xander Morgan, and Ezral Lee Donnell. A Celebration of Life Service will be 5:00 P.M.
