Ronald Euhl Banks

Ronald Euhl Banks, 70, of Davidson, passed away unexpectedly at home on Tuesday, October 3, 2023.

Ronald was born on March 2, 1953 in Buncombe County, NC to the late Euhl Horrace Banks and Wilma Lee McDaris. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Anne Cook, and a brother, Darrell Banks.

Ronald had a big heart for his family and cherished spending time with them. To his children, he was always their Superman. He was also known as HoJon by all his friends. He loved going to the mountains and he enjoyed trout fishing. He was a fan of Western movies. He had a beloved Mule named Shazam that truly stood by his side like a best friend for 36 years.

Those left to cherish his memory include three children, Carmen Banks, Justin Banks, and Derek (Carrie) Banks; nine grandchildren, Tea Banks, Caelan Banks, Morgan Banks, Madison Banks, Macey Banks, Layla Banks, Jessie Banks, Wyllow Banks, and Hannah Banks; five great-grandchildren, CJ Elliott, Paisley Elliott, Beverly Elliott, Jasper Banks, and Piper Broome; and a brother, Eric (Katie) Banks.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 8, 2023 at Whitley’s Funeral Home Chapel. The family will speak with friends following the service.
