Ronald Scott Hess

Ronald Scott “Doughboy” Hess, 61 years old, of China Grove, went to be with his Lord and Savior on December 5, 2022.  Scott was born on April 23, 1961 in Cabarrus County to Merdith “Bud” and Patricia Karriker Hess.

Scott loved his family and friends, especially his dog Hash. He was willing to help anyone.  He liked to work on cars and ride his motorcycle, and was handy with building almost anything.

Scott was predeceased by his brother, Samuel Hess in 1962.  Those left to cherish his memory are his parents, Merdith “Bud” and Patricia Hess; his sister, Tamara Allen; his daughter, Magen Anderson and her husband Andy; his two grandsons, Cobee and Jace; his brother-in-law, Fred Sumlin; his nephews, James Allen, Timothy Streater and Kalope Sumlin; his niece, Samantha Allen and six great nieces and nephews.

The family will receive friends on Monday, December 12, 2022 from 1-2pm at Whitley’s Funeral Home.  A funeral service celebrating Scott’s life will be held at 2pm in the Whitley’s Funeral Home Chapel.  Interment will follow in Carolina Memorial Park.
