Obituary: Ronald Wayne Seabolt, 68, passed away suddenly on Saturday, November 24, 2018. Although he valiantly overcame lymphoma through a vigorous stem cell transplant almost two years ago, his heart was tired and the Lord decided to call him home. He was a beloved brother, uncle, friend, and teacher, leaving a legacy of courage, quiet determination, and strong faith. Ron was born on September 28, 1950, to the late D.M. and Mary Harrelson Seabolt. He graduated from A.L. Brown High School and received his Bachelor's Degree from the University of North Carolina at Charlotte. He had a lasting positive impact on students' lives in his thirty years of teaching. Many have attested time and again that "Mr. Seabolt" was the catalyst to the accomplishment of their aspirations and dreams. In addition to his parents, Ron was preceded in death by his brother, Joel Seabolt; a beloved niece, Melissa Phelps; and a brother-in-law, Tommy Cannon. He is survived by his sisters, Lynette Cannon, and Sharon Thigpen (David); nephews, Justin Watts (Kassie), and Nathan Cannon (Becky); a niece, Joy Moore (Danny); and several great-nephews and great-nieces. The Old Courthouse Theater in Concord became a second family to Ron as he became one of its most valued early members. The highlight of his theater experience was winning best actor for his role as Arnold in The Boys Next Door. Ron was a member of All Saints Episcopal Church, a church family that he greatly treasured. Whitley's Funeral Home of Kannapolis, North Carolina is serving the family of Mr. Seabolt. The family will receive friends Wednesday, November 28, from 6-8 p.m. at Whitley's. The funeral service will be held Thursday, November 29, at 2:30 p.m., at All Saints Episcopal Church, 525 Lake Concord Road, Concord, North Carolina, officiated by Reverend Nancy Cox.
