Ronald "Ron" Eugene Yost

Ronald Eugene (Ron) Yost, age 79 of Concord, passed away March 5, 2023. Mr. Yost was born December 27, 1943 in Rowan Memorial Hospital in Salisbury, NC. Son of the late Elmer Eugene Yost and the late Lillian Scott Yost, Mr. Yost was of the Christian faith.

As a young man growing up he loved the beach and the mountains, and watching Carolina football.  He was active in the Boy Scouts of America, attending the fourth National Jamboree in Valley Forge, PA. He later attained the rank of Eagle Scout at a very young age.  He served in the US Army during the Vietnam era.

For over 35 years he worked in the in the insurance and furniture business in the Charlotte, Concord, Salisbury and Myrtle Beach areas. He received many sales and leadership awards and was a former Mr. Southern Life.  Mr. Yost retired and loved spending time with his family. He was a loving husband, father and grandfather.

Mr. Yost is survived by his loving wife of 44 years, Diane Yost, son Drew Yost (Veronica) of Concord, son Chris Yost (Jill) of Kannapolis, 4 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a sister Shirley Helms.

Funeral Services were private at the family’s request.
