Rondal Clayburn Groves

Obituary: Rockwell, NC Rondal Clayburn Groves, 70, of Rockwell went to be with his Lord on April 20, 2011 from Kindred Hospital in Greensboro. He was born August 2, 1940 in Daviss County, Kentucky, the son of the late Clifton and Catherine Willet Groves. He had been a truck driver most of his life. He worked part-time for TJ's Taxi. A graveside service will be held at 12:00 PM Monday, April 25, 2011 at the National Cemetery in Salisbury officiated by Dr. Zachary Sizemore and Rev. Tom Shelton. The family will receive friends from 10 to 11 Monday at Whitley's Funeral Home in Kannapolis. He is survived by a daughter Vickie G. Honeycutt of Rockwell, a son Rondal C. Groves Jr. of Kentucky, 3 grandchildren: Justin and Jesse Breedlove and Terry Honeycutt Jr., two brothers Sam and Leslie Groves, two sisters Pat Whitescarver and Fay Loney and several nieces and nephews.
