Roscoe E. Lambert

Obituary: Roscoe E. Lambert, 86, of 1201 East 11th Street died at Avante' at Concord on Wednesday, Nov. 10, 2010. Mr. Lambert was born in Cabarrus County on Jan. 7, 1924, the son of the late Lee Vance Lambert and the late Anne Cora Black Lambert. In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Betty Smith Lambert who died in 1979, a great granddaughter; Michaela Mullis and 4 brothers. Mr. Lambert retired from the former Cannon Mills Co. where he worked as a weaver. Survivors include his 2 daughters; Betty Graham (Terry) of China Grove and Helen Paden of Kannapolis. By 5 grandchildren; Angie Hollopeter (John), Bobby Davis, Joyce Furr, Kristopher Furr and Kadi Paden. Also by 3 great-grandchildren; Aubrey Hollopeter, Brody Hollopeter & Annabelle Mullis. By a brother, Melvin Lambert and a sister, Dorothy Thormsee. A Graveside Service for Mr. Lambert will be held at 2 P.M. Friday, Nov. 12th at Carolina Memorial Park conducted by Rev. Gene Edwards.
