Ross Coile

Ross Gordon Coile, 79, of Kannapolis passed away November 24, 2023 at Atrium Cabarrus Hospital. Ross was born September 3, 1944 in Madison County, Georgia, a son of the late James and Julia Coile.

Ross began working in his early years at the Kannapolis Bus station before working at Cannon Mills where he retired as a supervisor. Ross then worked full time at Carson High School, the NC Dept of Corrections, Sam’s Club and Lake Corriher in Landis.  He attended Charity Baptist Church. Ross loved watching all types of sports and was an avid golfer.

A memorial service will be held at 2:00 PM Wednesday, November 29, 2023 at Whitley’s Funeral Home Chapel officiated by Lex Graham. Interment will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. His family will receive friends prior from 1 to 2 at Whitley’s.

Ross is survived by his wife, Cora,  5 children, Denise Broome (Barry), Tracy Christy (Randy), Mark Carter (Tina), Mike Carter, Misty Tri (Keith),12  grandchildren, Adam Broome (Caitlin), Matthew Broome (Asia), Kristina Ford(Zachary), Sarah Christy, Garrett Christy, Michael Carter (Christen), Tyler, Dalton, Logan, Zach Carter and Kaitlyn and Blake Tarr, 3 great grandchildren, Kennedy, Kade and Brayleigh Carter.
