Roy Junior Boan

Obituary: Roy Junior Boan, 64, of 127 Wayne Avenue, Kannapolis died Monday, March 15, 2010 at CMC-NorthEast. He was born June 4, 1945 in Chesterfield County, the son of Blanche Della Cheek Boan of Cheraw, SC and the late Roy Boan Sr. He had worked at Cannon Mills Co., China Grove Mills and at Gulledge Building Supply. He enjoyed fishing, watching racing on t.v and enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday, March 18, 2010 at Bethesda United Methodist Church in Patrick, SC with burial to follow in the church cemetery. His body will lie in state at the church from 1:00 to 2:00 PM. The family will receive friends from 7 to 9 PM Wednesday at Whitley's Funeral Home in Kannapolis, NC, as well as at the church one hour prior to the service. He is survived by his wife, Lois Faye Brock Boan, 4 sons: Tony (Tiffany) Boan of Concord, Travis (Amanda) Boan of Kannapolis, Toby (Lynn) Boan of Concord and Todd (Lesley) Boan of Rockwell, 6 grandchildren: Trent, Trevor, Bryson, Logan, Lauren, Olivia, his brother Rex Anthony Dillard of Cheraw, SC and his sister Martha Menius of Kannapolis.
