Roy Rhodes

Obituary: Roy Rhodes, age 88, formerly of Saw Road, China Grove, NC, died Thursday, December 31, 2009 at Big Elm Nursing Center, Kannapolis, NC. He was born November 30, 1921. He was a farmer for many years & also worked for the former Cannon Mills Company, Plt.#1 Spinning Room for many years until his retirement. A private memorial service will take place at a later date. Survivors include one sister-in-law, Gertie McDaniel of Kannapolis, NC who was very faithful in visiting him; two grandsons, Jonathan Rhodes & wife, Jennifer of Norwood, NC; two great-grandsons, Travis and Tyler Rhodes; and another son, Christopher Rhodes of Concord, NC; a niece, Judy Ange of Kannapolis, NC who loved and took care of him for many years. Memorials may be made to the Salvation Army, % Soup Kitchen & Winter Night Shelter, 216 Patterson Avenue SE, Concord, NC 28025.
