Roy Michael Tickle

Reverend Roy Michael "Mike" Tickle has gone on to meet his beloved Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. He is resting in the arms and presence of the Almighty God. Born January 1, 1954 in Iredell County, he was the son of the late Leroy and Sadie Swicegood Tickle.
Mike was a 1972 graduate of AL Brown and had an Associate Degree from Belmont College in Textiles.
Mike was marvelously saved in the mid 70's and was a member of God's Church of Faith. The Lord called him into the ministry where he served The Lord faithfully until his disability prevented him from doing so. Mike was a "Hall of Fame" Youth Pastor for many years. He directed the youth choir and was also a member of the adult choir with his dear wife Dianne. Mike served as an associate minister at the church. He taught the discipleship class and worked in sponsorship prison ministry for many years. Mike faithfully served on the church executive board as the corporate secretary and treasurer. Mike Tickle truly made a difference in the lives of many for which he now reaps the eternal reward.
Mike is survived by his sister, Sandra Tickle McGalliard; 2 brothers, Pat and Randy Tickle; an adopted sister, Tammy Cardwell Williams; five nieces; two nephews; ten great nieces and nephews; and an adopted grandson, Johnathan Simmons. Aside from his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his beloved wife Dianne and a son Christopher Michael Tickle.
A funeral service to honor Mike's life will be held 2:30pm Sunday, March 6, 2022 at God's Church of Faith, Kannapolis. Rev. Jeff Upright and Rev. Tim Brown will officiate. Interment will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park, China Grove. The family will receive friends 1:00 - 2:30 pm prior to the service at the church Sunday.
