Ruby Nadine Barringer

Obituary: Ruby Nadine Barringer, age 72, went to be with her Lord on Wednesday, February 10, 2010 at Brian Center, Concord, NC after one year of declining health. She was born January 25, 1938 in Cabarrus County, NC, the daughter of the late Hiller Davis Barringer and Callie Winecoff Barringer. She was a seamstress for most of her life and also loved to draw. She was a lifetime member of Center Grove Lutheran Church, Kannapolis, NC. She was loved by her family and she also showed that love to other residents and the staff at Morningside Assisted Living and later Brian Center, both in Concord, NC. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by three brothers, Charles Barringer, Richard Barringer, & David Barringer; and two sisters, Betty Rapp and Hilda Barringer. The funeral service will be 4:00 P.M. Friday, February 12, 2010 at Center Grove Lutheran Church, Kannapolis, NC officiated by Rev. Loyd Ginn. Burial will follow at Center Grove Lutheran Church Cemetery, Kannapolis, NC. The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:30 P.M. Friday prior to the service at Whitley's Funeral Home, Kannapolis, NC. Survivors include one brother, John Barringer & wife, Beverley of Kannapolis, NC and one sister, Phyllis Safrit & husband, Ray of Concord, NC; ten nieces & nephews; and a number of great-nieces & great-nephews. The family would like to say a special thank you to the staffs of Morningside Assisted Living and Brian Center for their loving support & care of Ruby during her residential years at those facilities.
