Ruby "Jeanette" Jones

Ruby “Jeanette” Jones, 83, of Concord, peacefully passed away Wednesday, November 20, 2024, at her home, following a period of declining health.

Born August 5, 1941, in Mecklenburg County, she was the daughter of the late James Robert Prince and Hazel Chapman Prince. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, James Asper Jones; a son, Wayne Asper Jones; and her brothers, James “Poke” Prince, Steve Prince and Ronnie Carpenter.

Jeanette had earlier worked for Kayser-Roth, later working for Little Bucks as a deli manager, which she truly loved. She also enjoyed playing Bingo with the “Bingo Girls”, visiting the Casino, traveling, eating out and getting her nails done. She will be greatly missed by her family and all who knew and loved her.

Family members include her son, Scottie Jones; her daughter, Rhonda Jones; nieces, nephews and extended family members.

The family will receive friends from 11:00-12:00 pm Tuesday, November 26th at Whitley’s Funeral Home. Services to remember and celebrate Jeanette’s life will begin at 12 noon in the funeral home chapel, conducted by Pastor Burton Robinson. Burial will follow the service at Carolina Memorial Park.
