Ruby Lorraine Mcclamrock

Obituary: Ruby Loraine Horne McClamrock, 86, of Kannapolis; formerly of Rockwell, went to be with the Lord on Monday, January 22, 2018 at Transitional Health Care of Kannapolis following a period of declining health. Ruby was born September 3, 1931 in Cabarrus County, NC a daughter of the late Albert Cleveland Horne and Grace Laura Freeman Horne. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Roy Sanford MClamrock, Jr. on April 6, 2008, a daughter, Cynthia Carter on April22, 2011 and a great grandson Kristian Holland on November 22, 2010. Ruby was a member of Central Baptist Church and in early life was a member of the church bowling league. She was also a member of the Crusaders and was on the funeral meal committee of the church. Ruby retired from Cannon Mills Plant #6, sheet department following a lifetime of service. She enjoyed gardening and working in her flower beds. Surviving family left to cherish her memory are one granddaughter, Michelle C. Strube and husband Jonathan Holland and their son Karter Holland, all of Gray Court, S.C., a son-in-law, Ben Carter and wife Sandra of Rockwell, four nieces and four nephews. A graveside service will be held 2:00 P.M. Monday, January 29,2018 at Carolina Memorial Park conducted by Rev. Curtis Parker. The family will receive friends at Whitley's Funeral Home one hour prior to the graveside service. The family request that memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 4600 Park Rd #250, Charlotte, NC 28209 or to Central Baptist Church, 1810 Moose Rd, Kannapolis, NC 28083. Whitley's Funeral Home is serving the family of Mrs. McClamrock.
