Ruby Lynch

Obituary: Ruby Mae Collins Lynch, 77, of Salisbury went to be with the Lord on Monday, June 29, 2015 at her residence following a period of declining health. She was born August 28, 1937 in Marion County, SC, a daughter of the late Clyde and Marie Treadway Collins. In addition to her parents she was preceded in death by three brothers, William, Walter and Grady, and one sister; Minnie Belle. Ruby was a graduate of Marion County High School. She moved to Salisbury in 1972. She was employed by Haleyville Drapery until her retirement due to disability. She was a member of Shiloh United Methodist Church in Granite Quarry where she was a member of the James Mathis Sunday School Class. Ruby enjoyed working in the yard, raising flowers and having a garden. She also enjoyed making yoyo quilts, cooking, and fishing when the family went to the beach. She enjoyed spending time with her beloved family. Funeral services will be 11:00 A.M. Thursday, July 2, 2015 at Shiloh United Methodist Church, Granite Quarry, conducted by Rev. Angela Burris. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends at the church from 10:00-11:00 A.M. At other times they will be at the residence. Survivors include her husband of 58 years, Lee Lynch of the Home, three daughters; Terry Cameron (Douglas) of Granite Quarry, Linda Ardolino (John) of Burlington, and Deborah Hughes (Michael) of Salisbury, two sons; Robert Lee "Bobby" Lynch, Jr. (Christy) of Rockwell, and James Edward "Jimmy" Lynch (Jerri) of Rockwell. She is also survived by a sister, Lottie Ruth Jones of Marion, SC, and two brothers Carol Collins of Gresham, SC, and Clyde Collins of Mullins, SC. Eleven grandchildren and three great grandchildren also survive. Mrs. Lynch loved flowers but for those wishing to make memorials; they may be sent to Shiloh United Methodist Church, 234 South Main Street, Granite Quarry, NC. 28146.
