Ruby Hendrix Mcclamrock

Obituary: Ruby Hendrix McClamrock, age 86, died Monday, November 9, 2009 at Big Elm Nursing Center, Kannapolis, NC after one year of declining health. She was born April 23, 1923 in Iredell County, NC, the daughter of the late William Jennings Bryan Hendrix and Nellie Stamper Porter. She was a graduate of Hartsell High School, Concord, NC. She was a homemaker for many years raising her family until being employed with the Kannapolis City Schools system in 1981. She was an active member of Trinity United Methodist Church, Kannapolis, NC where she was involved in the Exodus Sunday School Class, circle work, & active in other phases of church activities. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, N. Dewey McClamrock, died in 1980; two brothers and two sisters. The funeral service will be 2:00 P.M. Wednesday, November 11, 2009 at Trinity United Methodist Church, Kannapolis, NC officiated by Rev. Judy White. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park, Kannapolis, NC. The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 P.M. Wednesday at the church prior to the service. Survivors include two sons, Terry A. McClamrock and wife, Betty of Kannapolis, NC, Keith McClamrock and wife, Jane of Concord, NC; two daughters, Becky M. Barnette of Kannapolis, and Sheryl Tyson and husband, Stanford of Wellington, FL; seven grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; one brother, Billy Hendrix of Baltimore, MD; and one sister, Delores Rayfield of Rockwell, NC.
