Ruby Mae Bailey Ricketson

Obituary: Ruby Mae Bailey Ricketson, 88, of Salisbury died at her home on Jan. 20, 2015. Ruby was born in Cooleemee, NC on July 29, 1926, the daughter of the late Farris Bailey and the late Myrtle Gullett Bailey. In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her first husband, William Harris, her second husband, George Ricketson and her grandson, Donnie Harris, Jr. Mrs. Ricketson was a 20+ year member of Cornerstone Baptist Ch. And was a homemaker for the last 50 years. Survivors include her son, Donny R. Harris of Jacksonville, FL, 2 grandchildren; Jennifer & Heather and 3 great grandchildren. Also, she is survived by a number of nieces and nephews The funeral service for Mrs. Ricketson will take place at 1:00 p.m., Saturday, Jan 24th at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel conducted by Rev. J. Hazel Rollings. Burial will take place at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove. The family will receive friends 6-8:00 p.m., Friday, Jan. 23rd at Whitley's Funeral Home.
