Obituary: Ruby D. Wagner age 68 died Thursday March 18, 2010 at CMC NorthEast Medical Center Concord, N.C. Funeral service will be Sunday March 21 at 2:00 P M at Whitley's Funeral Chapel. Rev. Robert Earnhardt will officiate. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park Chine Grove. The Wagner family will see friends form 6:00 to 8:00 PM Saturday March 19,2010 at Whitley"s Funeral Home. Ruby was born Nov. 30,1941 in Chesterfield County, S.C. to the late Whiteford Donehue and the late Mattie Gulledge Donehue. She was employed with Fieldcrest Cannon Mills as a Inspector for #1 sewing room until her retirement in 2001. She loved to listen to Gospel Music, also to travel, and light houses. Mrs. Wagner is survived by her husband Earl Wagner of the home. Two sons Dale Drye and Darrel Drye both of Salisbury. Three step daughters Diane DeVeau , Donna Baker, and Paula Burgess all of Rockwell. One brother Charlie Donehue of Concord and five sisters Louise Roberts of Kannapolis, Lelia Mae Wallace of Pelham N.C.,Sussie Canupp of China Grove, Peggy Bonds of Kannapolis and Ruth Rivers of Locast. Seven Grandchildren and two Great Grendchildren also survive. She was preceded in death by two brothers, Willie "Joe" Donehue and Sidney "Shorty" Donehue. The family will make headquarters at the home 1210 Dukemont St. Salisbury, N.C. 28146. Whitley's Funeral Home is serving the Wagner family.
