Ruth Hamilton

Obituary: Ruth Ann Stark Hamilton, 72, of Kannapolis; formerly of Rockwell went to be with the Lord on Saturday, November 11, 2017 at her daughter's residence following a period of declining health. Ruth was born April 25, 1945 in Chicago, Illinois a daughter of the late Edgar and Arlene Meghan Stark. Also preceding her in death was her husband of 44 years, John R. Hamilton, Jr. who died February 18, 2008, a daughter, Tammy Cope and a great-grandson, Kegan Davis. She was employed at Walmart in Salisbury, retiring with 15 years of service. A graveside service will be held 2:00 P.M. Friday, November 17, 2017 at Brookhill Memorial Gardens, Rockwell conducted by Rev. Mike Hubbard. The family will receive friends at Whitley's Funeral Home on Thursday, November 16, 2017 from 6:00 P.M.-8:00 P.M. At other times they will be at the residence of a daughter, Diane Lusk of Kannapolis. Family members left to cherish her memories are one daughter, Diane Lusk of Kannapolis, one son, John R. Hamilton, III of Rockwell, seven grandchildren; Ashley Micalea and Bryan Lusk, Autumn, Kristen and Chelsea Schmidt and Blake Hamilton, eleven great-grandchildren and her two canine companions, Clipper and Boo.
