Sadie Harless

Obituary: Sadie Elizabeth Coleman Harless, 84, passed away unexpectedly Saturday, December 31, 2016 at CHS-Northeast Medical Center. Born June 27, 1932 in Burke County, NC, Sadie was a daughter of the late Avery and Carrie Isabel Hice Coleman. In addition to her parents, preceding her in death were her husband, Hursel Fredray Harless, a granddaughter Rachel Harless Stanton, a son-in-law Pastor Chris Pethel, 5 sisters and 7 brothers. Sadie had retired from Terry Products. She was a loyal, long time member of Corriher Heights Baptist Church, where she was well known as a guest greeter. Mrs. Harless loved her Lord, her family and thoroughly enjoyed and loved her life. She will be greatly missed and loved always by all who knew her. Family members include her daughters Wanda Allman (Rick), Janet Pethel, Karen Richardson and Carolyn Rowell (Scott), her sons Kenneth Harless (Janis), David Harless (Donna) and Daniel Harless (Gina), her sisters Alice Forbes (Billy) and Fairy McNeely, 10 grandchildren, 14 great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews, extended family and a special friend, Dr. John Moxley. The family will receive friends Wednesday, January 4th from 11:00-12:00 at Corriher Heights Baptist Church. Funeral services to remember and celebrate Sadie's life will begin at 12 noon, conducted by Pastors Bruce Graham and Arnold Douthit. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park Cemetery in Kannapolis. Memorials may be made to Corriher Heights Baptist Church, 1980 Hwy 153, China Grove, NC 28023.
