Obituary: Samantha Renay Lunsford, 21 of Salisbury passed away on Saturday May 31, 2014 at her residence. Her death was unexpected. Samantha was born on August 18, 1992 in Rowan County, the daughter of Marcus Lee Lunsford of China Grove and Karen Renay Hooks Lunsford of Salisbury. Funeral services for Samantha will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, June 7, 2014 at Whitley's Funeral Home Main Chapel with Revs. Mike Hillard and Tom Dolinger officiating. Burial will follow at West Lawn Memorial Park in China Grove. The family will receive friends from 11:30 to 1:00 PM on Saturday prior to the services at the funeral home. In addition to her parents, Samantha leaves to cherish her memories 2 sons; Thomas Mack Edward Frizzell Jr., Rylann Leonard Overcash, and a daughter Alexis Grace Overcash, all of the home, a brother; Marcus Andrew Lunsford, her grandmother; Kay Yow and her fiancé; Jacob Overcash. Survivors also include aunts; Melinda Hackworth of Kannapolis, Demetria Burgers of Lucus, Kathy Wojciechowski of China Grove and Pam Downer of China Grove. Uncles surviving are William Hooks, Darin Hooks and Ronnell Lunsford, all of Kannapolis. Samantha was a loving caring mother who adored her children and family.
