Sandra Louise Smith Dickenson

Obituary: Sandra Louise Smith Dickenson, age 74, of Kannapolis, formerly of Deposit NY, went to be with her Lord on Monday, January 3, 2011 at CMC-NE after a period of declining health. A Memorial service will be held at 6:00 PM Thursday, January 6 at Solid Rock Worship Center in Kannapolis, with Rev. Raymond Davis officiating. The family will receive friends at the church after the Memorial service. Sandra was born May 3, 1936 in Deposit NY, a daughter of the late Kenneth and Lois Palmatier Smith. She was a resident of this area since 1979. Sandra was a homemaker to her family and a member of Solid Rock Worship Center, where she enjoyed singing. Sandra also enjoyed taking care of her grandsons. She was loving and devoted to her family. She will be dearly missed. She is survived by her husband of 52 years, Clyde Dickenson of the family home, her sons, Michael Dickenson (Marsha) of Mt. Pleasant and Brian Dickenson (Leigh) of Mooresville, her daughter, Lori D. Boyd (Neal) of China Grove, her grandsons; William Sutton, Christopher Boyd, Joshua Dickenson (Patricia), Jacob Dickenson, David Boyd, Jared Dickenson and Joseph Dickenson and 6 great-grandchildren; Ryker, Peyton, Liam, Cloe, Jayley and Riley. Also surviving are 2 brothers, Ralph Smith (Evie) and Phillip Smith (Pearl) and 2 sisters, Roberta Lengal (Ed) and Rebecca Newman (Roger) all of Sherman PA and numerous nieces and nephews. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Solid Rock Worship Center, 3000 Centergrove Rd. Kannapolis, NC 28083
Visitation: The family will receive friends at the church after the Mem. Service.

Service: A Memorial Service will be held at 6 p.m.Thursday, Jan. 6, 2011 at Solid Rock Worship Center.

Interment: Carolina Mem. Park.
