Sarah Scercy

Obituary: Sarah Cline Scercy, 79, of Kannapolis passed at her home on April 29, 2017. Funeral services will be held at Whitley's Funeral Home Chapel at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 with Rev. Leon Simmons officiating. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park. Her family will receive friends at the funeral home from 12 to 2 PM prior to the funeral. Sarah was born May 31, 1937 in Cabarrus County, the daughter of Mary Harrell Cline of Concord and the late Billy Boyden Cline. She was also preceded in death by her husband of 53 years, Charles L. Scercy. Sarah is survived by her daughter, Cathy Dugas, her son, Charles L. Scercy, Jr., her brothers, Jerry Cline (Linda) and David Cline (Carol), her grandson, Dean Cornett, Jr. (Tina). She also leaves behind her beloved pets, "Fred" and "Bird". Sarah will be loved and missed by all friends and family as she enjoys her seat in Glory with our Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen
