Sarah Lou (Reed) Sherrill

Sarah Lou Reed Sherrill, 79 years old, of China Grove, went to be with her Lord and Savior on July 12, 2023.  Sarah was born on July 21, 1943, in Washington County, TN to the late Clinton and Eva Lee Reed.

Sarah worked for Cannon Mills for 30 years before retiring.  She loved to garden with her late husband, watch her sons play all sports, going to watch her granddaughter, Sawyer play softball and going to Hardee’s with her group of friends every day.  Sarah was a member of The Well Community Church in Landis and previously was a long-time charter member of Homestead Baptist Church in Kannapolis.

Sarah was predeceased by her beloved husband of 51 years, Henry Allen Sherrill in 2014, her brothers, Johnny and Jerry Reed and her sisters, Joann Bryant and Betty Morris.  Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, Tommy Sherrill and Jeff Sherrill and his wife Charlene; her brother, Clarence Reed and his wife Judy; her sister, Lena Deal and her granddaughter, Sawyer Sherrill.

The family will receive friends on Sunday, July 16, 2023, from 2-3pm at Whitley’s Funeral Home.  A funeral service celebrating her life will follow at 3pm in Whitley’s Funeral Home Chapel.
