Obituary: Kannapolis- Scott Lamar Brown, 50, passed away Monday afternoon, April 22, 2019, at CHS-Main Hospital in Charlotte, following a brief illness. Born September 4, 1968, in Cabarrus County, he was a son of Shelby Jean Lambert Brown and the late Melvin Lee Brown. Scott was a graduate of A.L. Brown High and had earned an associate degree in machining. He was an avid Dallas Cowboy fan. A talented machinist, Scott loved his family, his dog, Iffy, and Iffy's cat, PK. Scott also enjoyed working in the yard, fishing, could grow anything, and had a great green thumb. Gone too soon, Scott will be greatly missed by all who knew and loved him. Family members left with cherished memories include his mother, Shelby Lambert Stroup (Larry); his wife, Lisa Foster; step-daughter, Bailey; his brothers, Mike Brown (Sharon) and Doug Brown (Jan); his in-laws, Charlene and David Foster; and his nieces and nephews, Megan Yocky, Zachary Brown, Jake Brown and Madison Brown. A memorial celebration of life and gathering will be held at Revolution Church, 310 Brookdale Street in Kannapolis, from 2:00-4:00 PM Saturday, April 27th. Memorials may be made in Scott's name to the American Heart Association, 128 South Tryon Street, Suite 1588, Charlotte, NC 28202.
