Sharon Rose Kerley Fisher peacefully passed away July 11, 2021, at Tucker Hospice House in Kannapolis, NC. Born November 7, 1943, in Taylorsville, NC to the late Abner Roosevelt and Edna Bentley Kerley. She is preceded in death by siblings Carolyn Gilreath and Charles Kerley, and granddaughter Kayla Michelle Ellison.

When she was a year old, her parents moved to Kannapolis to work in Cannon Mills. Sharon was part of the A.L. Brown graduating class of 1962. Sharon, like so many others in Kannapolis, worked in the sheet department. Later she used her creative skills doing floral arrangements at Mills Florist. She retired after 25 years as secretary for Animal Control for the Cabarrus County Sheriff Department.

Sharon was a faithful member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints where she taught classes and sent out email newsletters. She enjoyed retirement by going to the monthly lunches with the ladies from church, crocheting, and Facebook.

Sharon is survived by sisters Sarah Yarborough, Pat Hendley, and Susan Kerley, her children Michael McManus (fiancée Tiffany), Amy Ellison (Joe), and Leslie Fisher, her four grandchildren Michael McManus (Ally), James Ellison, Emily Ellison, and John Ellison, her three great-grandchildren Jayce, Rylee, and Isabella. Sharon also had many nieces and nephews, and cousins that each had a special place in her heart.

Sharon will be missed by many because she opened her heart unconditionally to all.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, July 14, 2021 in the Relief Society Room at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints Kannapolis Ward.
