Obituary: Sheila Ann Caldwell, 58, formerly of 10016 Westmoreland Rd, Cornelius, went to be with her Lord and Savior on Monday afternoon August 20th, 2012 at The Haven in Highland Creek following four years of declining health. Services will be 11:30am Friday, August 24th at Whitley's Funeral Home in Kannapolis. The Rev. Mary Hatley will officiate. Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park in Kannapolis.The family will receive friends prior to the service from 11:00 to 11:30am on Friday, August 24th at Whitley's Funeral Home. Born February 20th 1954, she was a native of Cabarrus County and daughter of the late Marion Caldwell. Sheila was a 1972 graduate of Northwest Cabarrus High School where she received academic honors and awards. Sheila lived the majority of her adult life in Charlotte, settling in Cornelius in 2002. During her life Sheila held employment at Belk Store Services, PSNC and Bank of America. Sheila enjoyed cross-stitching, growing flowers, had a passion for animals and enjoyed attending the youth sporting events of her nieces and nephews. Sheila's favorite place to visit was the Biltmore House and Gardens. Since her childhood, Sheila was the most avid of Beatles fans. A special thanks is due to the staff of The Haven in Highland Creek for their care over the last two years and the Hospice volunteers over the past two months. All of whom were so kind and loving in their attendance to Sheila. Survivors include her mother Magalea Caldwell of Galveston, Texas, sister Patricia Schmidt and husband Joe Henry of Galveston, Texas, brother James Caldwell and wife Rene' of Mt Pleasant, nieces Taylor Cline and husband Ben of Wallburg, NC and Marilea Schmidt of Galveston, Texas, nephews Grant Caldwell and wife Tonya of Raleigh and Daniel Caldwell of Mt Pleasant, great-niece Shylah Rene' Cline of Wallburg, NC. The family suggest contributions be made to: Alzheimer's Association, Western Carolina Chapter, 3800 Shamrock Dr., Charlotte, NC., 28215-3220
Visitation: 11:00 to 11:30am on Friday, August 24th at Whitley's Funeral Home.

Service: Services will be 11:30am Friday, August 24th at Whitley's Funeral Home

Interment: Burial will follow at Carolina Memorial Park.
